Nissan Navara NP300 Coil Rear Drop Out Cones are made from machine grade plastic rather than fabricated steel that is used by competitors. The main advantage with using plastic, is if a coil spring is contacted by a steel drop out cone it greatly increases the chance of causing a spring to break. Contact with a coil should be avoided at all costs. Another advantage over the competition is the fact that the drop out cone couples to an encapsulated nut eliminating the risk of the bolt seizing if required to be removed in the future. Drop out cones are used for keeping springs located in position when running longer travel shocks that allow more travel. Coil retainers are also available PSRNAV-098
